چکیده

We ®rst present a novel general-purpose nonlinear PID controller realized via fuzzy PID control that uses our newly-introduced simpli®ed Takagi±Sugeno (TS) rule scheme. Analytical structure of the fuzzy PID controller is derived and its structure is analyzed in relation to the linear PID controller. The unique features of the fuzzy controller are as follows. First, the proportional, integral and derivative gains constantly vary with the output of the system under control. The gain variation leads to a shorter rise-time, a less overshoot and a smaller settling-time as compared to a comparable linear PID controller. Second, the characteristics of the gain variation are determined by the fuzzy rules, and can intuitively be designed. We have also investigated the local stability of the fuzzy PID control systems. As an application demonstration, we have developed a fuzzy PID control system to regulate, in computer simulation, blood pressure in postsurgical patients. We have chosen this particular control problem because the studies in the literature have established that, in order to achieve satisfactory control results, using a nonlinear controller with variable gains is necessary. The simulation results show that the fuzzy PID controller signi®cantly outperforms its linear counterpart, and is safer and more robust over a wide range of patient condition. Fuzzy Pid Control Via Modified Takagi-Sugeno Rules

We present a novel simplest fuzzy PID controller using a modified Takagi – Sugeno (TS) rule base. Mathematical model of the controller is derived and analyzed. The unique features of the controller are: (i) the consequent part of the rule base is closely related to the rule base of Mamdani type controller, and (ii) the proportional, integral and derivative gains vary as the output of the system...

Wind Driven Induction Generator Regulation Using Ant system Approach to Takagi Sugeno Fuzzy PID Control

This study introduces new tuning technique for the PID control scheme and its application to regulate the voltage magnitude and the frequency of wind energy conversion system (WECS). The developed technique is stem from blending the ant system optimization method with Takagi Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system approach. The optimum relationship between the PID controller gains and the parameters of T-S f...

Design of nonlinear parity approach to fault detection and identification based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model and unknown input observer in nonlinear systems

In this study, a novel fault detection scheme is developed for a class of nonlinear system in the presence of sensor noise. A nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is implemented to create multiple models. While the T-S fuzzy model is used for only the nonlinear distribution matrix of the fault and measurement signals, a larger category of nonlinear systems is considered. Next, a mapping to decou...

This paper addresses the problems caused by an inappropriate selection of sliding surface parameters in fuzzy sliding mode controllers via an optimization approach. In particular, the proposed method employs the parallel distributed compensator scheme to design the state feedback based control law. The controller gains are determined in offline mode via a linear quadratic regular. The particle ...
